Well ...... first my husband Greg got promoted to the Head of Law Library at the University of Saskatchewan. His boss Ken moved to a different department for his last year of retirement. Greg is busy with his new position .... I wish him luck .... I know he will doing very very well with his new position. His going to be very busy because the new year just started and students are coming back. The university back to life again after sleeping or half sleeping for about 3 or 4 months.
Second, my daughter Samantha is in grade 4 now, she will be 9 in October - very exciting for all of us.
She is in France emersion school, so she is learning France, so far she can speak 3 languages, which are English - France - Indonesia. Maybe she will learning other language when she grow up.
She is doing very well in school, she loves math, science, reading and computer. Study well Samantha.
After school, she has other activities like Gymnastic - 3 times a week, Ballet - twice a week, Jazz -once a week. Busy ... very busy little girl. We are hoping she can keep up with all this activities. She loves all of them, gym-ballet-jazz, won't give up any of them.
Her gymnastic is in Gymcat level, this is a different level of gymnastic, recreation program but she is learning more skills than regular recreation gymnast. She also compete with other gymnast from other clubs in Saskatchewan. Sometimes we travel to other city for her competition.
For her ballet, Samantha right now is in grade 2 ballet, she love every bit of it. She do not want to miss any of her ballet class, because she would like to have a perfect attendance. She will receive a medal for perfect attendance, she did received the medal for grade 1 class, we are proud of her.
Every month of June she and others students from her dance club will perform in the Gala show. I will posted her costume later in my blog.
This year she add more dance to her list, she is learning Jazz dance.
We always ask her to show what she has been learning so far, she is more than happy to show her moves either ballet or jazz to us. Can't wait to see her perform at the Gala show next year in June 2012.

I am Back .........
It is been a year since I posted my last blog. I was so busy with family, work and other things I have to do and not having much time and energy to continue my blog. Now a year later I realized what I missed ...... my blog, soooooo ..... here I am ....... I am back writing my blog again. Telling the world what happen in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan .... If you see the map of Canada you will see that the province of Saskatchewan is "Hard to spell the name but easy to draw the province".
saskatoon is the nice city to live, I love the city since the first time we arrived in Saskatoon. Beautiful city, lots of trees, beautiful river. Very cold in the winter but ... but ..... very, very nice, hot and full of festivals in summer. We bike a lot in the summer, walking the dog along the river, enjoy seeing kayakers on the river,watching people water skiing, not to mention go to the park and enjoy the music from Jazz festival, taking Samantha to the Children festival, see her having fun and enjoying herself there and have a face painting, lovely, we love it.
Oh I forgot other festivals ..... food festivals, there are 2 festivals .... Taste of Saskatchewan, we go there every year. Variety of food there, you can choose from chinese, vietnamese, Ukranian, German etc., next is Folkfest...... this one you do not want to missed it. There are lots of pavilions representing different cultures and countries. The pavilions located around the city and we can go to each pavilion by car or by bus .... good service. All we have to do is to hop on the bus visit the pavilion, try the food (of course we have to pay :), buy some souvenier if we like, look around the pavilion and continue the journey until we cannot eat anymore or tired hop on and off the bus
Finally after visiting many pavilions and try the food around the city we go home with a full tummy :), rest for a while and have a good night sleep and gain weight after that.
We are not worry about that because summer just started, we have lots of time to have exercise and loose the weight we gain during food festivals.
Other festival is Fringe festival, this festival is all about theatre and performance for children and adults.
For everybody who love cars, you do not want to missed this one ... it is a Hot rod show .... wow.... this is an amazing show of cars. Cars you can imagine from early 1900 to the newest car, amazing, we enjoy the show so much.
For someone who love shopping, you would like to go to the Downtown street sale, the city will close 5 or 6 blocks of street for this special occasion. People go to this street sale and buy discounting clothes and also food for whom ever hungry.
Everybody loves dogs (I think). Once a year the down town park has an activity for dogs owner called "A day in the park". Everybody can bring their dogs to this activity and mingled with other dogs owner. Chit-chat one another and the dogs have fun and play with one another too. You can find all kind of dogs you can imagine from very small dog like chihuahua to big huge dogs like st.Bernard.
It is a never ending of summer activities in the city of Saskatoon. That is why we love this city more and more.

What's new
Well, what's new in the month of September. First Samantha back to school, she is in grade 3 now. She was back to school on August 31, but she is not so happy with the split class. She has been complaining about it quite often. There is nothing we can do about it, all this split class is the school board decision. I found out few of my friends, their daughters also in grade 3 have a split class, one of them really really upset about it and did not want to go to school .... wow.....
Secondly, I am leaving TCP aka The Children's Place on the 16th of September..... I have enough working there and it is time for me to move. I have a new job at Laura Canada ..... it is women clothing store. Huge store located in lawson heights.... lovely..... close to home, can take the van or take a bus ......
